Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our dynamic team at McCarthy Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly management accounts for all group entities
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and daily cash flow forecasting
- Performing KPI & variance analysis, and detailed monthly OPEX analysis
- Overseeing Purchase Orders (PO) & Goods Received Notes (GRN) internal controls
- Acting as a key point of contact during statutory financial audits
- HMRC reporting, including quarterly VAT and levy returns
- Reporting to the environment agency, including quarterly waste returns
- Mentoring and supporting junior staff with ongoing studies
- Assisting with ERP system upgrades and improvements
- Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc finance projects and covering other finance functions as required
- CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified, Full or Part Qualified (our client will also consider candidates who are QBE)
- Proven experience in preparing management accounts
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Passionate about accounting and finance
