We are currently seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to gather project requirements and understand technical limitations and strategic goals.
- Spearhead the design and development of architectural frameworks, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of software solutions.
- Assess and recommend suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project objectives while staying informed about emerging trends and innovations.
- Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices, fostering consistency and reusability across various projects.
- Engage in hands-on research and development, contributing to the ongoing maintenance of the codebase and the release of software for Videalert.
- Provide technical leadership through code development, mentorship to fellow engineers, and collaboration with departments such as technical operations, infrastructure, engineering, and production.
- Oversee the scheduling and breakdown of cross-functional development tasks, encompassing cloud services, backend software, system integration, and database management.
Person Specification:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Mathematics, Commerce, Science, or Engineering, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial product development.
- Profound understanding of object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Extensive knowledge of software architecture styles (e.g., microservices, monolithic, event-driven) and architectural patterns.
