Our client, a well-established property company, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the Commercial Director in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the finance function and contribute to the organisation's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the existing team member
- Maintain and control all ledgers, ensuring monthly reviews
- Set, review, and manage department targets and deadlines
- Assist with year-end requirements
- Directly manage property agents and tenants, handling invoicing, cash posting, and arrears management
- Support cash-flow, budgeting, insurances, and quarterly reporting cycles
- Provide cover for purchase, subcontractor ledger payments, and other accounting functions
- Contribute to the review of processes, procedures, and Business Central functionality
Requirements:
- A proven track record in financial administration
- Strong time and people management skills
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel
- Ability to produce accurate and timely information
- Construction and property industry awareness or experience
- Microsoft Business Central/Navision knowledge
