Electronics Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team as a Customer Support Engineer. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers, ensuring their equipment is operational and correctly configured.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers on site and remotely, ensuring their equipment is operational and correctly configured.
- Ensure customers have a single point of contact for after-sales support, and that all equipment is properly maintained and configured.
- Raise faults and issues, and track them to conclusion, ensuring all equipment is properly repaired or replaced.
- Assist in pre- and post-visit equipment maintenance and software configurations, and record the allocation of units.
- Support the production team in quality checking and testing products before dispatch.
- Perform ad-hoc production duties, including building and assembling mechanical and electronic equipment.
Requirements
- Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Knowledge and/or experience with electronics and electronic technologies, including hardware and software.
- Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters.
- Some experience with design of electronics components and design engineering.
- Ability to read and write detailed technical reports.
- IT literate in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites in the UK and abroad, with a valid driving license and passport.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary, £35K-£45K PA + package.
- A Monday-Friday schedule, with some evenings and weekends (paid at a premium).
- £300 a weekend for a full weekend at events, plus salary and a day off in lieu.
