Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified chef to join Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK. Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the needs of residents, using fresh seasonal food and adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Work closely with the team to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with residents to tailor menus around their needs, promoting person-centered hospitality and delivering exceptional care.

Requirements
  • A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team, with a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home, with a focus on delivering high-quality and wholesome dishes.
