Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Latham & Bond HR. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and controlling quality policies, procedures, and documentation within our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and report daily, weekly, and monthly figures to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage the PPAP process, including new product and new tooling submissions, to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to advise and motivate staff on quality-related issues.
  • Write and maintain visual standards to ensure consistency and quality in our production processes.
  • Manage the hold system to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Manage customer and internal issues, including quality alerts and raising 8D reports, to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed promptly.
  • Approve and fault-find CMM/Dimensional checks to ensure that all products meet quality standards.
  • Issue engineering change requests (SCR) internally and to customers to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed.
  • Control and manage internal audits (system/product/process & layered audits to schedule) to ensure that all quality standards are met.
  • Establish good working partnerships with customers and conduct customer liaison visits to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related issues to ensure that all quality standards are met.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in data gathering on continuous improvement items and complaint issues based on the 8D/five whys format to ensure permanent corrective actions.
  • Champion safe working practices to protect the health and safety of all employees.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Previous quality experience or qualification would be an advantage.
  • Background in quality within a volume manufacturing environment.
  • Full understanding of quality processes and procedures.
  • IATF 16949 / ISO9001 internal/lead auditor certified.
