Job Overview:
The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as an Early Years Educator Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in childcare while working towards a Level 3 qualification.
About the Role:
As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 2-5 years. You will work closely with the nursery team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding children and ensuring their well-being at all times
- Delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Supporting with food preparation and mealtime routines
- Assisting with toileting and personal care (after 12 weeks)
- Helping to set up and tidy the nursery environment
- Developing relationships with children and their families
- Participating in planning and activities to promote children's learning and development
- Contribution to housekeeping tasks and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
Requirements:
- Desirable: Level 2 Childcare qualification or equivalent
- Ability to gain a clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
- Good knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices
- First aid and food hygiene training
