Senior Credit Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for developing and operating credit risk strategy and activities in line with changing market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present credit risk analysis, including counterparty Credit Application Requests and Portfolio analysis
  • Produce detailed counterparty Credit Application Requests, incorporating a detailed financial analysis and a full appraisal of all credit risk factors
  • Ensure all credit applications processed, and the associated reporting is conducted with full compliance to policy
  • Monitor the credit risk environment and macro-economic trends
  • Manage and contribute to projects with a focus on improving internal business processes
  • Review SEFE Energy Credit policy – proactively identifying opportunities for mitigating credit risk whilst allowing for managed growth
  • Collaborate with commercial teams and customers, to resolve issues and identify solutions that enable credit facilities to be approved
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a role focusing on credit risk/financial analysis, and a strong understanding of credit risk management practices, policies, and frameworks, ideally gained in the energy, financial or retail sector
  • Proficient in Excel, data analytics / reporting / modelling experience, and knowledge of Python would be an advantage
