Job Description

Astute Technical is seeking a highly skilled EHSQ Manager to join our team in the Power sector. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance, legislation, audits, inspections, and environmental issues across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Environmental Compliance: Review and maintain company-wide Environmental, Health & Safety policies, legislation, compliance issues, strategy, and procedures.
  2. Management Systems: Oversee the maintenance of the Management Systems, including EHS Legal Register and Corporate policies.
  3. Site-Wide Compliance: Monitor site-wide compliance, conduct audits, inspections, and support on-site H&S teams.
  4. Collaboration and Leadership: Work alongside 3rd parties, such as the environment agency, Energy UK, specialist contractors, and independent advisors on all EHS matters. Lead EHS investigations on incidents/risks.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Degree qualified in a relevant HSE field and either working towards or have already achieved chartership status.
  2. Certifications: Holder of NEBSOH in Occupational Safety & Health and IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
Personal Skills:
  1. Quality Management: Experience/Qualification in quality management systems.
  2. Heavy Process Experience: Prior HSE experience in a Heavy Process environment/similar industry such as Thermal Power Station, Energy from Waste, Biomass, Steelworks, Paper Mill, Refinery, etc.
