Job Title: EHSQ Manager

Astute Technical is seeking an experienced EHSQ Manager to join our team in Newport, South Wales. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety performance across our CCGT Power Station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective management of EHS issues and develop strategies to improve performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to site teams on EHS matters, including incident investigation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree qualification in a field such as environmental science, health and safety, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in a heavy process environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, including CDM, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
