Job Title: Event Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Officer to join our team at UCISA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing event support, administration, and membership management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Administration: Manage the setup and logistics of events, including preparation and distribution of event materials.
  • Conference Management: Oversee a range of conferences and events, including face-to-face conferences and webinars.
  • Membership Support: Provide support to UCISA Corporate members and secure sponsorship for UCISA activities.
  • Registration and Onsite Management: Liaise with venues and speakers, and manage onsite registration.
  • Post-Event Surveys: Design and distribute post-event surveys.
  • Special Interest Groups: Provide organizational and event support to UCISA Special Interest Groups and communities.

Requirements:

  • Event Experience: Previous experience of organizing a variety of events and exhibitions.
  • Education: Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online purchasing tools).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Attention to Detail: A strong eye for detail.

Working Arrangements:

The role is permanent and full-time, with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will be required to attend the UCISA office site at least 2-4 times per month and travel to support UCISA events and conferences.

Salary: £26,941-£30,942 per year (depending on experience)
