Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and cost aspects of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong focus on cost control and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial and cost aspects of projects, including tendering, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement cost management plans, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential cost risks, ensuring that projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Provide commercial and cost advice to project teams, ensuring that they have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project costs, including invoices, payments, and variations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost management, preferably in a commercial or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and cost management principles, including tendering, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential cost risks.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.
