Job Description

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects within the Building Improvement, Refurbishment, and Development workstreams. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in cost management and contract negotiation to contribute to the success of large-scale projects.

  • Collaborate with the Investment & Asset Management team to provide cost input for new development and refurbishment appraisals.
  • Monitor cost plans, highlighting potential risks and value-add opportunities.
  • Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse contractor quotations, and make recommendations for order placements.
  • Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost plans and schedules.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on cost management and contract negotiation.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in quantity surveying or construction management.
  • Experience with a main contractor or PQS background, particularly in refurbishment and new build projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in cost management on a variety of projects.
