Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Dove & Hawk. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial property investors, developers, owners, and occupiers, and will be able to deliver a full range of construction projects, from refurbishment schemes to new build developments, across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on a wide range of project types and to a variety of clients, many of whom are core clients of the business.
  • Cover full pre and post contract duties on projects, tailored to suit clients' specific needs.
  • Manage the tender processes, tender analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare building contracts.
  • Value variations and negotiate/agree final accounts.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' PQE with a strong understanding of all normal pre-contract quantity surveying functions.
  • Strong understanding of standard forms of contract and associated documents, and of contract management/administration processes.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Good knowledge of measurement software and use of online portals such as JCT, NBS, and BCIS.
