Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy within the team.
  • Conduct daily medication rounds, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to medication policies.
  • Participate in shift handovers, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care.
  • Identify and address any concerns or issues affecting residents' care, escalating to the Home Manager as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are resident-centered and meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
