About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland Ltd. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expansion in our Restaurant Associate sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead New Business Initiatives: Collaborate with our Restaurant Business Development Director to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. Develop and manage sales strategies to drive growth and revenue.
  • Bid Management: Oversee the bidding process, including bid writing, development, and submission. Work closely with the Bid Manager and Finance team to ensure all bids are compelling and competitive.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders to drive business growth. Ensure client needs are met through tailored solutions and strategic planning.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the Business Development Director and Business Director to devise effective sales and retention strategies for each client. Identify key opportunities and deliver winning proposals.
  • Market Leadership: Stay updated with industry trends and challenges. Lead initiatives to demonstrate thought leadership in the market through webinars, articles, and other platforms.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or support services is preferable. Experience with public sector tenders is a plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop winning financial proposals and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, client-focused, and able to work under pressure. Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to think on your feet are essential.
