About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Royston. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students in all areas of the primary curriculum
  • Organize and maintain a well-structured and organized classroom environment
  • Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
  • Support students with special educational needs and abilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and imaginative learning activities
  • Work closely with the class teacher and senior leadership team to ensure the well-being and progress of students
Requirements
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Experience with behaviors that are challenging
  • A calm and caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupil development
  • Excellent reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training
