Role Summary:
The Selection Partnership Ltd is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join their team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication and welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG and TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, typically from 1mm up to 20mm thick.
- Working to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Jig making and problem-solving.
- Dressing and finishing of welds.
- Marking and identifying materials.
- Checking finished products for compliance with specifications.
- Performing one-off prototype work and medium batch production.
- Working in a team environment and adhering to Health and Safety procedures and work instructions.
- Using hand tools and machinery.
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Experience in fabrication and welding.
- Ability to work with and weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to a high quality.
- Experience in dressing welds to a high standard and graining stainless steel by hand (desirable).
- 39 hour week, Monday to Thursday (4 day week) 7.00am to 5.15pm each day with 1 hour lunch.
- UK based and live within a commutable distance of the location.
