Nursery Room Leader Opportunity

My Ohana is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your own room, promoting good practice and setting a positive example for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
  • Supervise children during play, meal times, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Support the planning of activities and displays, ensuring they meet the needs of our children and align with the EYFS framework.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations and next steps.
  • Assist with the overall running of the nursery and supervision of the team in the absence of the nursery manager or deputy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum L3 childcare qualification.
  • Experience working with children from birth to 5 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
