Tool Room Engineer Opportunity

CNC Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Tool Room Engineer to join our client's esteemed engineering company in the Crewkerne area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modify, repair, and maintain Injection and Compression moulding tools.
  • Operate and manage various CNC and manual machining equipment in a Toolroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the Toolroom Manager to ensure accurate and efficient task completion.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-precision tooling components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during production.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and quality control processes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Tool Maker, preferably in the Injection and Compression moulding sector.
  • Proficiency with CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and materials used in mould-making.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in a Toolroom or precision engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard health and safety regulations.

Please note that working hours are Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 6pm with half an hour lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks. There would also be some overtime on Fridays.
