We are seeking a seasoned Product Controller to join our team at Inventum Group. As a critical link between the Front Office and the broader Finance team, you will leverage your specialist product knowledge to resolve daily P&L disagreements promptly and ensure agreement with the Front Office is documented.
Key Responsibilities- Product Control Expertise: Provide an effective link between Front Office (FO) & other stakeholders within the wider Finance team, bringing specialist product knowledge into the function.
- Daily Reporting: Daily production of p&l and decomp reporting to the front office traders, includes an analytical review of the risk-based decomposition, comparison of trader flash versus actual and other end of day reports.
- Financial Integrity: Ensure integrity of the banks books and records, including reconciliation to banks ledger systems, attestation of the books and records each month end.
- Revaluation Management: Ensure the wider Product Control team and stakeholders are immediately aware of revaluation issues that may affect downstream activity.
- Reporting and Analytics: Production of analytical reporting to the business and Finance team, in addition to ad-hoc reporting as required by Front Office & senior management.
- Change Management: Involvement in key change management projects to deliver improvements to our daily processes.
- Independent Control Function: Ensure PC remains & is seen to be an independent control function.
- Team Support: Support and provide training to members of the team.
- Product Knowledge: Strong vanilla options, structured interest rates and note issuance product and revaluation skills.
- Accounting Skills: Competent accountancy skills; preferably fully qualified CIMMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent / similar.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to deal with senior stakeholders and Front Office members.
- Time Management: Capable of working to tight deadlines & under severe time pressure.
- Prioritization: Effective in allocating priorities.
