Job Title: Apprentice ICT Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice ICT Engineer to join our team at Deep Sea Electronics Ltd. As an Apprentice ICT Engineer, you will play a key role in providing technical support and product development guidance to our internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide global technical support to customers via telephone, email, remote desktop sessions, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Deliver training sessions on DSE products, covering technical functions, applications, and common faults.
  • Test and confirm reported issues from customers, following company procedures and guidelines for remedial action.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including product manuals and training instructions.
  • Proofread technical documents authored by other personnel.
  • Provide development guidance to engineering on new and existing product features.
  • Assist the test and approval department in comprehensive testing of products.
  • Provide technical support to DSE internal teams, including production, engineering, sales & marketing, test & approvals, and other members of the technical support team.
Requirements:
  • General generator application and system knowledge.
  • Educated to a HNC level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent by industry experience.
  • Ability to operate under own initiative and possess strong team working skills.
  • Prior experience resolving MySQL replication issues.
  • Familiarity with server and Hyper-V.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux.
  • Desirable: Basic understanding of PHP.
  • Desirable: Basic understanding of Git or past experience using source control tools.
