About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience. You will be the go-to person for colleagues and customers alike, providing guidance and support to ensure that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate the store team to deliver an easy, fuss-free shopping experience for customers
* Support colleagues in achieving daily priorities and take regular breaks
* Open and close the store, ensuring all decisions made are right for everyone's safety
* Be the point of contact for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store
* Support managers in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events
* Contribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone
* Provide great customer service, listening to customers and putting them first in everything you do
* Keep the team well-informed and up to speed on any communications, changes, or updates

What We Offer

* A competitive rate of pay, starting from £14.28 an hour, increasing to £15.41 for stores inside the M25
* Additional payments may apply depending on location and skills
* A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work fewer hours if desired
* 3 weeks' notice of scheduled shifts
