Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify and pursue growth opportunities in the electrical power distribution sector.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and end-users to increase sales of distribution transformers.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential customers in key market sectors.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to provide technical support to consultants on distribution transformer specifications.
  • Meet personal sales targets and KPIs while contributing to the overall distribution transformer sales target.
  • Review customer enquiries, including project specifications, and provide timely and accurate quotations.
  • Prepare annual business and account plans for key customers to focus sales activity and marketing support.
  • Manage day-to-day customer requirements, including responses to commercial and technical queries.
  • Proactively maintain the CRM database to ensure all pertinent information is captured.
  • Attend pre- and post-order meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and maintain customer terms and conditions to ensure commercial position.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including tendering, contracts, engineering, production, and accounts, to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Attend and present at client meetings and company events, exhibitions, and CPDs as required.
Requirements
  • A proven sales track record in the electrical power supply sector or a technical manufacturing/supply sector.
  • Industry knowledge in the electrical power sector.
  • An electrical engineering background or qualification.
  • Previous sales experience in a specification role.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
Remuneration
  • Salary expectation: £50,000 - £65,000.
  • Car allowance.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
