The National Trust is celebrated for its exceptional food and hospitality services. We operate numerous cafes, tea-rooms, and restaurants across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and we are seeking dedicated Culinary Service Associates to enhance our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in contributing to the mission of the National Trust while ensuring visitors have a memorable experience. Hours: This is a flexible 0-hour role, compensated hourly, on a fixed-term basis. While we strive to provide a consistent working schedule, flexibility is essential as adjustments may be necessary to meet business needs. We will provide as much notice as possible for any changes. The role may require weekend and Bank Holiday shifts, but there are no evening or split shifts. Working hours will typically fall between 9:30 AM and 5:15 PM. Weekend-only shifts are available. Salary: £11.50 per hour. Duration: Fixed Term Contract.Work Environment
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be stationed at one of our scenic locations, which boasts beautiful surroundings and a rich history. Our various Food & Beverage outlets, including restaurants and cafes, are bustling with activity, especially during peak times.Responsibilities
As a Culinary Service Associate, your primary focus will be on front-of-house operations, engaging directly with customers. You will warmly welcome and attend to all visitors, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience. Your passion for customer service, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence will be key in creating a welcoming atmosphere. This is a dynamic environment where teamwork and adaptability are essential. You will strive to understand customer needs, assist them, and make thoughtful recommendations. Maintaining high standards in food and beverage presentation and preparation is crucial. With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure that all displays and signage are accurate and visually appealing. Occasionally, you may assist the kitchen team with food preparation. Comprehensive training will be provided, including allergen awareness and food safety, along with ongoing professional development opportunities.Ideal Candidate
