Key Responsibilities- Manage the staff and workload of the Stock Holding Unit (SHU) to deliver efficient and effective 24/7 Hospital Services to a defined number of hospital users.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements at all times and that local practice and service development is in line with regional direction and national strategy.
- Train and develop the staff of the SHU to deliver an excellent customer service that meets quality standards and is focused on continuous improvement.
- Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and maintained for optimum performance.
- Represent the SHU at various meetings on a range of topics including customer relations and provide technical advice to internal and external service users.
- Significant study of management techniques.
- Experience of logistics and supply chain management at a supervisory level.
- Experience of quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
