Job Title: Accounting Officer Credit Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer Credit Management to join our team at Great Connections Employment Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all inventory and non-inventory invoices, ensuring accurate coding and reconciliation of aged payables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all inventory and non-inventory invoices, including matching backup and filing backup documents.
  • Coding of invoices to ensure accurate General Ledger codes are used.
  • Review of PO accrual account to investigate and clear old items, and clear zero-value customer-owned receivers.
  • Analysis of vendor prepayments at month-end and reallocate to prepaid.
  • Weekly cheque run/wire transfer processing for Canadian and US vendors, ensuring only authorized purchases for goods/services received are paid and on-time.
  • Reconciliation of aged payables at month-end to General Ledger.
  • Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting audits.
  • Assist with audit support as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business or Accounting, and/or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally within Accounts Payable function.
  • Proficient in MS Office - Excel and Word.
  • Preferably working towards an accounting designation (CPA) or completed (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA).
