**Job Summary**

MWH Treatment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of various water and wastewater schemes, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement cost-effective design solutions that meet the requirements of the specification and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure that standard practices are utilized where possible, maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for proposals.
  • Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department, assisting in developing procedures and processes, monitoring and reviewing them.
  • Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  • Coordinate designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are coordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  • Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assure customer satisfaction, working within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognized as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintain a personal development plan, assisting in supervising and developing staff, and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities, ensuring designs take account of environmental issues and full regard of all health and safety requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in design and delivery of water and wastewater schemes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and adherence to procedures.
