HR Advisor Job Description

At Spire Healthcare Group plc, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and making a positive difference in people's lives. As an HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our hospital teams to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Spire colleagues and managers to enable them to deliver our purpose on a daily basis.
  • Drive effective workforce planning through regular workforce discussions with the hospital Senior Management Team.
  • Lead the hospital onboarding activities for all new joiners to ensure they receive a comprehensive induction.
  • Support managers and new starters through probation periods, providing advice and guidance.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential management of all colleague HR files and personal information in line with GDPR guidance.
  • Be an advocate of wellbeing for the hospital and Spire, promoting relevant tools, support mechanisms, and communication channels.
  • Actively manage absence within the hospital to reduce short-term absence and manage long-term absence effectively.
  • Be the initial point of contact for all HR matters and provide high-quality, consistent HR advice in line with Spire policy, procedure, and best practice.
  • Support managers in performance management processes, disciplinary, grievance issues, and attendance matters.
  • Ensure all employee relations issues are managed in a timely manner, prioritizing workload, while balancing the needs of the business.
  • Support the annual pay review process to ensure fairness and consistency.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience as a HR Advisor or in another HR-based role.
  • Knowledge of HR functions and systems, including pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development.
  • High personal standards and quality of work output, with outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
