Additionally, we are a leading provider of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, managing both the complete installation process and ongoing safety assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

As an EV Project Manager at BES Electrical, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our growing portfolio of electric vehicle (EV) projects. Your role will encompass the planning, execution, and delivery of EV infrastructure initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. This position demands strong leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse team of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal personnel, while also nurturing and expanding client relationships.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Project Oversight: Direct and manage the entire lifecycle of EV projects from inception to completion. Ensure timely delivery within the defined scope and budget, achieving key project milestones and effectively managing construction phase plans.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets and conduct valuations to maintain financial accountability and profitability. Review pricing structures to enhance cost-effectiveness and control expenses related to labor, materials, and external contractors.
  • Design Approval and Compliance: Validate project designs to ensure they meet regulatory standards and client expectations. Collaborate with the group Health & Safety (H&S) team to guarantee compliance with safety regulations. Develop and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) along with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Subcontractor and Site Coordination: Cultivate relationships with subcontractors, ensuring clarity and adherence to contracts. Coordinate with Distribution Network Operators (DNO) and manage any necessary adjustments to project plans. Supervise on-site project teams, including managing absences to ensure project continuity.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary contact for project clients, fostering and maintaining strong relationships. Conduct regular update meetings with clients and stakeholders to ensure transparency and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Manage logistics of material supply to adhere to project timelines.
  • Strategic and Operational Assistance: Support surveyors and other project stakeholders in evaluating and applying project deliverables. Document and obtain approval for all project modifications and coordinate scheduling to maximize efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Electrician (essential)
  • Proven experience in project management within the electrical or EV infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L.
  • Excellent leadership abilities and experience managing teams and subcontractors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction, operation, and challenges of EV infrastructure projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in project management and health and safety (desirable)
