Your Role: Ensuring Project Safety & Compliance
As a Safety & Compliance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will act as a client-side expert, providing governance and assurance for all aspects of health and safety management throughout the project lifecycle.
- CDM Duty Holder Oversight: You will oversee the coordination and integration of pre-construction (PD) and construction phase (PC) activities across the entire project program. This includes developing, maintaining, and communicating the comprehensive CDM Strategy, ensuring it aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Competence Assurance: You will conduct thorough competence assessments to verify that contractors and designers possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to effectively contribute to the project's safety objectives.
- Information Management: You will drive the collection and dissemination of critical pre-construction information, including existing survey data, as-built drawings, health and safety files, and other essential documents.
- Collaborative Safety Culture: You will champion the use of collaborative platforms to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing regarding safety in design throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management & Reporting: You will actively identify, assess, and manage significant CDM risks. This includes coordinating risk mitigation strategies and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the CDM Strategy's implementation.
