About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at D7 Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety strategies that align with our company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the execution of health and safety strategies that align with our company's objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislations, including CDM 2015.
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain all relevant project documentation, including the Construction Phase Plan, emergency plan, and fire risk assessment.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate the work activities of contractors through permit to work and on-site meetings.
  • Client Support: Provide support and guidance to clients on health and safety matters, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Safety Culture: Proactively manage and influence safety culture across the site by leading as an example and rewarding positive safety performance.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct regular site inspections and audits, and investigate incidents and accidents.
  • Project Acquisition: Support the acquisition of new projects.
  • HSE Support: Manage and monitor the HSE Support team.
  • Team Support: Support other team members and provide support to internal business functions and processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a Health & Safety Management role within a live construction and manufacturing environment.
  • Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, NEBOSH General Certificate, and a full driving license.
  • Skills: Excellent IT skills, clear and engaging communication skills, and the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands and requirements.
What We Offer
  • Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum DOE.
  • Benefits: Car allowance, on-site bonus, and 25 days annual leave + BH.
