Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Design and Delivery: Lead and assist in the design of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, and utilities, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and regulations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Utilize industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk, to produce detailed design drawings and develop and manage drainage designs using InfoDrainage software.
  3. Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  4. Project Management: Manage projects from initial feasibility through to completion, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to, and that all projects are delivered to the required standard.
  5. Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  2. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  3. Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and InfoDrainage, with a solid understanding of UK design standards and regulations.
  4. Personal Qualities: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
