About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from feasibility to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement design solutions for infrastructure projects, utilizing technical software and expertise in highway designs, SuDS, earthworks, drainage, and Flood Risk Assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project management and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a civil engineering consultancy firm, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering, such as MEng, BEng, HNC, or HND.
  • Proficiency in technical software, including Micro drainage/flow, AutoCAD, AutoTrack, and Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of UK planning methods and design codes, including Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water UK, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, and Manual for Streets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
