About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a Day Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care and support to our residents during the day time, promoting their privacy, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the shift team, ensuring that all residents receive the highest level of care and support.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to create a happy and caring atmosphere, promoting a sense of community and belonging among residents.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, dressing, and personal care, with care and compassion.
- Conduct direct observations and provide feedback to care assistants to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards of care.
- Participate in handovers with the next shift team, ensuring that all residents' needs are met and that the team is aware of any changes or concerns.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential care.
- Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication skills and the ability to use IT systems.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff members, working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
