Associate Director of Landscape Architecture

Brookwood Search & Selection is partnering with a global design studio based in Central London to find a talented Associate Director of Landscape Architecture. The studio specializes in masterplans for medium and large-scale projects in the UK and internationally.

As an Associate Director of Landscape Architecture, you will be responsible for:

Project Management

  1. Overseeing the successful delivery of multiple projects that meet high-quality standards.
  2. Ensuring the entire project process is well-managed, with involvement throughout.
  3. Collaborating with HR business partners to build and foster strong teams, leading, guiding, and providing training to juniors to support their professional and creative development.
  4. Leading the preparation of fee bids and undertaking fee proposals and negotiations for projects.

Budget Control

  1. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of cost control, fee charging, and project finance, ensuring project fees are maximized without compromising client relationships and repeat work.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. Proven experience of successfully leading and managing teams across multiple large-scale projects.
  2. A proactive approach to client management, with a proven track record of engaging potential clients and partners, and winning new work.
  3. Commercially astute, demonstrated through effective decision-making, project resourcing, and winning profitable work.
  4. Strong organizational and people management skills, encouraging collaboration and innovation within teams to maximize performance.
  5. Proficiency with computer applications commonly used within the discipline.
  6. A degree in a related design field or equivalent certification or skill level.
  7. CMLI or Professional registration equivalent preferred.
