About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Architecture Director to lead our multi-disciplinary team in delivering world-class projects across the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Business Performance

  • Drive financial performance and maintain good financial disciplines
  • Create project plans, costings, and fee structures for client work
  • Monitor and manage client debt and internal cost controls

People Management, Leadership, and Team Development

  • Lead by example, setting a high standard for work ethic and personal conduct
  • Create and energize high-performing teams, encouraging collaboration and innovation
  • Develop the skills and abilities of the team through coaching and mentoring

Business Development

  • Develop and implement marketing plans to support our strategy
  • Contribute to building our future, targeting new clients and work
  • Act as a brand ambassador, cross-selling and introducing clients to colleagues

Client Relationship Management

  • Deliver excellent service to clients, understanding their needs and expectations
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong client relationships

Design Excellence

  • Drive innovative and creative design excellence in own work and others
  • Collaborate to develop and execute a strategy to raise team design capabilities

Contribution to the Organisation

  • Contribute to the building of the organisation's intellectual property
  • Take responsibility for efficient use of resources in undertaking projects

About You

We are looking for a commercially astute and experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and growing client relationships. You will have a strong understanding of the design industry and be able to drive innovation and creativity within the team.

Requirements

  • Experience of leading and managing a team across large mixed-use projects
  • Proven track record of engaging potential clients and winning significant work
  • Commercially astute, with strong organisational and people management skills
  • Ability to travel and possess proficiency with computer applications commonly used in the design industry
  • Degree in a related design field or equivalent certification
