Position: Finance Manager, reporting directly to the UK CFO

Location: London, Shoreditch

Employment Type: Full-time, Competitive Salary of £50-60k Annually, dependent on experience, plus additional bonus.

Team Leadership: Overseeing a team of 3-4 finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the finance department operates with precision and efficiency. This includes being the primary contact for partners and stakeholders regarding financial inquiries, as well as establishing and maintaining compliance processes and internal audits to uphold high standards.

Key duties include:

  • Conducting commercial analysis to assess sales trends by customer and product categories
  • Evaluating customer pricing and profit margins
  • Monitoring expense trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Managing the monthly closing process, ensuring timely reviews and submissions
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and managing accruals
  • Overseeing monthly tax provisions and financial reporting
  • Preparing VAT/GST returns and cash flow forecasts
  • Supervising the finance team, including Management Accountant and Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Coordinating annual audits for UK entities
  • Implementing and refining financial controls and procedures
  • Handling ad-hoc financial tasks as required

Essential Qualifications:

  • Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Experience in supervising and managing finance team members
  • Proficiency in system development, including report design and procedural changes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Professional and empathetic communication with stakeholders
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and grow
