About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Three Bridges Recruitment. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our external payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll data.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the Finance department to deliver monthly and annual payroll reports and analyses, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Payroll Compliance: Ensure payroll records are accurately maintained and promptly updated, revising procedures as needed to maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the HR department and other teams on payroll and budgetary matters, providing clear and concise information to stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide the Finance team with monthly reports comparing payroll budgets to actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing financial performance.
  • Payroll Forecasting: Prepare monthly payroll forecasts and budgets, ensuring accurate projections and informed decision-making.
  • Employee Payments: Ensure timely payment of employees, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Payroll Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliations between payroll data and the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Requirements
  • Payroll Expertise: Strong understanding of reward and benefits, including payroll management, tax, pension, SSP, SMP procedures, legislation, and calculations.
  • Payroll Experience: Extensive experience in payroll, ideally supported by a relevant qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and formula creation.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: A positive and adaptable attitude, committed to delivering high standards in a fast-paced environment.
