Job Description

The Exchange is seeking a highly skilled and creative Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase awareness of The Exchange and drive visitors to our building and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve our business objectives, including creating and managing external communications, generating inspiring content to promote our work, and building our profile.
  • Social Media Management: Take the lead on content development, uploading, and scheduling for all our social media platforms, ensuring that published messages are on brand and achieve increased local and wider engagement.
  • Asset Management: Work with our Co-Director and Head of Operations to develop and manage marketing assets, including website updates, image and film bank management, and external commissions.
  • Press and Commissions: Work with our Co-Director to develop and implement a press plan, identifying key moments in the year for press coverage, and drive new commission sales.
  • General Duties: Support our Co-Director by setting up quarterly Comms meetings with staff teams, acting as an ambassador for The Exchange at internal or external events, and effectively managing our annual marketing budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
