Unlock the Power of Data at Norwich City FC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Football Analytics to join our team at Norwich City Football Club. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our data-driven strategy, leveraging cutting-edge analytics and data science techniques to gain a competitive edge in the football industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our data infrastructure, including data aggregation, storage, and analysis, to support informed decision-making across the club.
  • Collaborate with our Sporting Director to design and deliver analytical support services that drive business outcomes and improve team performance.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of industry standards and advancements in football analytics, data analysis, and AI/ML techniques.
  • Evaluate and recommend data feeds, third-party tools, and services to support our analytics capabilities.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to our Football Analytics department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in football data, preferably within a club setting.
  • MSc Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling in Python or R, with experience working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing providers, data visualisation platforms, and deep learning techniques.
