Radiology Consultant

The post involves supervising and training specialist registrars, participating in the out-of-hours vascular interventional rota, and contributing to cardiac imaging and acute stroke services. Additional sub-specialty interests can be incorporated into the job plan, and there are opportunities for home working and flexible working arrangements.
Main DutiesThe appointee will join a team of vascular radiologists providing comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services. The successful candidate will have a major role in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, endovascular aortic repair, trauma care, and visceral arterial intervention. There will be an additional commitment to cross-sectional cardiac imaging and opportunities for involvement in the management of cutaneous and pulmonary vascular malformations.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a subspecialty interest in vascular intervention and cardiac imaging, with a strong track record of leadership and management experience. The appointee will be expected to work towards CCT in clinical radiology via the CESR route within an agreed period and will be committed to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs, and medical students.
