Radiology Consultant

The post includes supervision and training of specialist registrars. Participation in the out of hours vascular interventional rota on a 1 in 8 basis is required. Additional sub-specialty interests can be incorporated into the job plan, with opportunities to contribute to cardiac imaging and acute stroke services.
Work may take place across sites, with the opportunity for home working one day per week. The post can be tailored to suit a locum or less than full-time role.
If the appointee is not a UK CCT holder, they will be expected to work towards CCT in clinical radiology via the CESR route within an agreed period. Progress towards this goal will be reviewed regularly.
Main Duties of the JobThe appointee will join a team of seven other vascular radiologists who provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services to our region. The successful candidate will have a major role in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, endovascular aortic repair, trauma care, and visceral arterial intervention. There will be an additional commitment to cross-sectional cardiac imaging and opportunities for involvement in the management of cutaneous and pulmonary vascular malformations.
