Job Summary:

SOCOTEC UK Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Emissions Monitoring Technician to join our Environment and Safety Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring stack emissions from industrial processes to ensure compliance with Environmental Permit requirements and obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct emissions monitoring to documented procedures, published standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate technical reports for clients.
  • Work in accordance with SOCOTEC's Health & Safety Policies and customers' site rules and procedures.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and kit preparation tasks as required, as well as laboratory duties and report writing.

Requirements:

  • A strong interest in developing a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analyzing techniques.
  • A willingness to work outdoors and at heights on occasions at various industrial locations, which can be physically and mentally challenging.
  • Availability to work away from home during the working week for some days each month.
  • A full driving license and a flexible and positive attitude.
