Job Title: Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at Scottish Water. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment plants and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on water treatment plants and distribution systems.
  • Install, test, and commission new automation systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems with other plant systems.
Requirements:
  • Full apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • HNC or NC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 17th/18th Edition trained.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
