About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes, you will play a crucial role in providing expert clinical care to patients with endocrine conditions, both in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing expert clinical care to patients with endocrine conditions, including diabetes and general internal medicine.
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary diabetes and endocrine teams to develop pathways and provide multidisciplinary care.
- Working with colleagues across specialities to develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participating in audit, clinical governance, and service development to improve patient outcomes and care.
- Supporting participation in research and clinical trials to advance the field of endocrinology and diabetes.
- Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to their development and training.
