Specialty Doctor

We are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our Older Persons community mental health services on a full-time or part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide medical and psychiatric support to the Consultant Psychiatrists working in the service area and in the management of service users.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients and carers
- Work in partnership to provide initial assessment and treatment initiation where appropriate of patients referred to the service
- Minimum of 4 years' experience at Core Training level or above
- Registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice
- Approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act
- Access to funds to support CPD/Study leave allowance
- SAS Tutor support, mentor, and PDP group
- Involvement in our academic programme and teaching students in other professions
- Agile working with ICT support

- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
- Completed at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent) at least 2 of which will be in a relevant specialty training programme
- MRC Psych or equivalent
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
- Additional clinical qualifications
- Approved under S12 or willing to undergo training
