Job Description

Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer - Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at City of Bristol College. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our information security efforts and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to protect our data and systems.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security of our systems and networks.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on information security best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

  • Lead the development and implementation of our information security management system.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in information security leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
