Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals.

We are seeking a highly skilled War Crimes Investigator to support a national police team conducting investigations into international crimes against international humanitarian law.

This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Job Summary:

To support a national police team conducting investigations into international crimes against international humanitarian law, working closely with a wide range of national and international partners, including cross-government departments, foreign law enforcement agencies, the Crown Prosecution Service, and non-governmental organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and detailed investigations into serious and complex crimes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with national and international partners.
  • Produce high-quality reports and briefings to support investigations and decision-making.
  • Deploy nationally and internationally to support investigations and operations.
  • Collaborate with other investigators and experts to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in investigating serious and complex crimes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in producing high-quality reports and briefings.

Clearance and Vetting:

Successful candidates will be subject to Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) Metropolitan Police vetting and right to work checks.
