Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Spares Specialist to support the Fluid and Mechanical Systems team. This role involves identifying and sourcing equivalent instrumentation and components due to obsolescence, primarily in gas turbine package auxiliary systems. The replacement components are essential for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the products.

As a key team member, you will be responsible for technical evaluation, coordination, and acting as a link between Spares Engineering and Further Engineering departments. Your contribution will be vital in achieving the company's mission of re-imagining the world.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Evaluation/Identification: Identify and source equivalent instrumentation and components for gas turbine package auxiliary systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including specifications and drawings.
  • Obsolescence Management: Identify replacement for obsolete components and develop change out kits as required.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers to ensure availability and quality of replacement parts.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Experience in a Spares Engineering role within a similar industry.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in system components and technologies, working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
